Mr. Faulkner, originally from Yorkshire, England, studied History at Sheffield Hallam University before beginning his teaching career in Sheffield. He then spent ten years teaching history in Cairo, Egypt. After a brief period living and working back in Yorkshire, he now joins BISL in a new role. His favorite areas of history to teach include America and Britain after World War II, early 20th-century Germany, and the Middle East during the 20th and 21st centuries.
Outside of school, Mr. Faulkner enjoys long-distance running, hiking, and playing, listening to, and writing music.
