Continuing the trend of outstanding results we have become accustomed to at the British International School of Ljubljana, we are delighted to announce this year's AS and A Level results achieved by our students.
This year was always going to be a tough year regarding external examination grades as our year 13 students, being the first cohort post covid-19 to return to externally assessed examinations at IGCSE, AS and A2 level, were subjected to tougher grade thresholds to compensate for the grade inflation that had been seen in recent years.
Our A Level teachers have worked hard throughout the year to get students to a place where they were able to achieve their potential. Through regular lessons, after school classes, homework assignments, assessments, mock examinations, revision class and booster sessions, it appears that the preparations for these examinations have paid off.

With a heavy heart I bid farewell to a year 13 group, many of whom have been with us since well before IGCSEs and a few since joining us in our primary school. I wish them all the best in their future endeavours at university and beyond. Congratulations to Year 13 on their outstanding results and to all their teachers for their careful guidance and the dedicated work they put into examination preparations. It is moments like this, particularly when I reflect on the combined efforts of all the teachers and staff at our school who have helped our students towards fulfilling their potential, that I am filled with pride in BISL and the role we play in helping our students on their lifelong learning journey.
