Update 1. The British International School of Ljubljana is delighted to share with you the first pictures of our exciting new building. This high-quality addition to our campus will provide the members of our community the finest facilities to work with and create incredible learning opportunities for our students.

After a busy period of deliveries including furniture, hardware and learning equipment for the new building, we will continue posting more images, showing you the developments that have taken place recently. Our fantastic new facilities include:

  1. Library (Learning Hub)
  2. Robotics Room (Technology Suite with LEGO robots)
  3. Performance Theatre (for musicals, presentations, performances, etc)
  4. School Assembly Hall (over 250m2)
  5. Presentation room (for students, parents and staff to use)
  6. Rooftop glass meeting room (with panoramic views over Ljubljana)
  7. 6 large music practice rooms (for specialist individual and group music lessons)
  8. 10 large classrooms (over 70m2)
  9. Lift access to all floors
  10. Additional parking

and a covered glass walkway to our existing building.

Our current parents will have an opportunity to go on a tour of the building as part of the first Coffee with the Principal on Friday, 3rd September.

The ground floor will house our brightly lit Learning Hub, with a library and quiet learning areas for our students, while the Technology Suite will be home to robotics equipment, including LEGO robots, to challenge our students.

Our rooftop meeting room overlooks the city and the beautiful mountains.

Our 10 spacious new classrooms let in lots of natural light, making them ideal for student learning. All classrooms are equipped with the necessary IT to enable high quality learning experiences.

Our Performance Theatre offers 300m2 of space for musical performances, productions, ceremonies and more, including 6 sound-proofed practice rooms for individual and group work during and after school.

The new building is fully accessible, with lift access to all 5 floors. It connects to our existing building by a glass walkway, leading to the new Assembly Hall on the second floor.

Our official Opening Ceremony of the building will take place when our staff/students return during block 1 of our new academic year.
