Primary News - 28 februar 2020-4

Christmas celebrations started this week, with the Christmas Carol Musical on Wednesday. Students from the Primary Performing Arts activity gave students, teachers and parents a wonderful performance of acting and singing, depicting the story of Scrooge.

More class celebrations followed on Thursday. Students and staff dressed in their Christmas attire for the day, while Santa visited the students to see if they have been good!

A huge thank you to all of the BISL community for their contributions to the Three Winter Godfathers' project. The response and generosity have been heartwarming.

Year 5 have had an amazing week celebrating the start of Christmas together. We have had fun in our Topic lessons painting and finishing our desert animals. Measuring and calculating areas, perimeters, volume and surface area has been the aim of the week in Math. Children have discussed how to create interesting dialogue and we have done some acting in class. Thank you to all the parents who came for the Christmas party.

A Christmas Carol

Congratulations to the BISL Musical Theatre Club for an outstanding performance of "A Christmas Carol" on Wednesday. The students' hard work paid off and the spirit of Christmas was truly communicated by their acting, dancing and singing.

Winter Shows

All students will be presenting music, dance, and drama performances in three shows at the end of the block. All shows take place at 4 pm in the Assembly Hall. Here are the groups for each day:

• Monday, Dec. 16: EY, Y4, Y6, Primary Dance Club, Y12/13
• Tuesday, Dec. 17: Y1, Y2, Y7, Y8, Y11 (GCSE music), Secondary Dance Club, Y10A staging
• Wednesday, Dec. 18: Y3, Y5, Primary Dance Club, Y9, Y10B, Y11

Next Tuesday the Floorball tournament is coming up. Some of our primary students will be expected to cheer for our school during their PE Lesson.

We are also announcing that the team was chosen based on their level of skills, engagement and effort that students showed in the PE Lessons.

We wish to congratulate the students that were picked in the team and the best of luck on the tournament
