We aim for our students to develop into healthy, confident and independent individuals who understand their rights and responsibilities as members of a wide and diverse society. Whilst this is reinforced within the academic curriculum, much of it is covered as part of the school’s personal, social and health education (PSHE) programme. We are also encouraging all our students to eat healthy and with that become responsible for their eating habits.

Nutrition is essential for students, because proper nutrition helps prevent illness and disease, and affects their growth, development and learning. Eating the right food promotes a better quality of life as when students feel good physically, they’re able to take part in the activities they enjoy.

The keys to achieving wellness through nutrition includes communication, guidance and support from adults. We encourage our students to eat and live healthy. In school, we promote health eating by offering fresh fruit & vegetable snacks throughout the day and a good, varied and nutritious lunch is being served every day. Our school lunch is provided by Super Catering, with a daily meat and vegetarian option, flexible to meet all dietary limitations that are essential for some of the students – allergies, religion, etc – as well as offering a daily soup and salad bar.

They are a company with a strong vision and mission to prepare and serve high quality food of excellent flavours in interesting combinations and special arrangements, only preparing meals using the best ingredients from local suppliers. Their mission is to only use seasonal, fresh and healthy foods without artificial flavour enhancers and additives. In the kitchen, Super Catering stick to the principle of using food with as little waste as possible.

We are happy and grateful that our vision of healthy eating is supported by parents, by students, by teachers and by our chosen catering company alike – healthy eating for a healthy mind!
