As part of the Orbital Education Group of Schools, British school of Ljubljana is delighted to provide a fantastic opportunity for our students to attend one of two prestigious summer schools based at the City Football Academy, Manchester City’s world-class training facility.

Each summer school will provide our students not only the unique opportunity to experience the world class coaching and football facilities from one of the world’s top football club but also to meet and develop friendships with students from our other schools and others across the globe.

There are two fantastic programmes available:

City Football Performance Programme (1 week, 4th August - £1227)

This is an intensive 5-night football training programme for players aged 8-17 and takes place at Manchester City’s world-class training facility, the City Football Academy. Delivered by City Football School coaches and specialists, the programme gives players the opportunity to experience how City’s teams strive to play beautiful football, and how professionals optimise their training sessions to earn a competitive edge.

The summer school is for both boys and girls and is split into two age groups 9-13 and 14-17 to ensure that the training levels are age appropriate. At the end of the programme, players will take away a personal evaluation with valuable insight into their current performance, and a development plan to improve their individual game as they return to their school or club.

City Football Language School (2 weeks, 7th July - £2695)

This 2-week summer school enables students aged 12-17 to develop their English language as well as their football skills in a fully aligned and interactive programme, where the primary focus is to improve communication skills and develop confidence both on and off the pitch.

Alongside the football training, English language sessions draw on interactive technology to make learning an enjoyable and memorable experience. In 30 hours of off-pitch learning, players will improve English communication skills by completing a dedicated journey through the world of football, discovering life as a player, a manager, an analyst and a journalist.
