Once again, many thanks to all of the BISL MEPI participants who devoted part of their Sunday to an important part of the expedition training - it was fantastic to see so many putting in the time and effort. The session was devoted to successful route planning. We looked back at a previous walk, and then, in groups, used different maps to practise completing route cards for new walks. Route cards were exchanged, and participants then tried to decipher each other’s plans. Questions were asked, anomalies ironed out, and finally one group presented their route on the Promethean board (to the scrutiny of the others!). Everybody contributed, and, I believe, we all took something valuable away. Here's looking towards a well-planned Practice Expedition!
