On Saturday 20th October, we were invited to a Primary School in Stična to open their presentation day. This was a very important occasion as we started this wonderful celebration in front of their entire school, which had planned a range of exciting events for the students to enjoy throughout the day.
We presented about our school, learning at BISL and also the differences between our school and a school in England. Then we received questions from the audience on a range of thought-provoking topics and areas. At the end of the presentation, we were interviewed by the school newspaper team. It was highly interactive, challenging and a very busy morning for our students from BISL!
Our students presented extremely well and responded with detailed answers about school life, learning in an international school and examples of their daily routines. I was incredibly proud of our students as this gives them a wonderful opportunity to speak in front of a large crowd, develop their presenting skills and also practice answering questions from an audience.
Congratulations goes to Arina, Adrian, Taja, Ioannis and Damir for giving up their time on a Saturday morning. They did an exceptional job, specifically on how they spoke to the young students, made everyone feel relaxed and created a very positive tone to start this celebration day off with real quality. Thank you very much to the parents who supported this very worthwhile event.
I look forward to the next occasion in which our students can further enjoy these experiences of collaboration, communication and leadership!
