Andrew Malden

History Teacher

Mr Malden joins us from an established academy school in the UK, as an experienced Humanities teacher, having taught History across Key Stage 3 through Sixth Form.

Growing up in Milton Keynes, famous for roundabouts and concrete cows, Mr Malden spent several years working in sales roles before deciding to do something that interested him and went to university as a mature student to study History at the University of Westminster, later completing his PGCE at the University of Hertfordshire.

Mr Malden loves being a teacher - especially being a Form Tutor. With a passion for history that extends far beyond the classroom, he enjoys travelling to historical sites - he’s been for a look around Angkor Wat, and last summer he took a tent and walked the length of Hadrian’s Wall. He is looking forward to exploring Ljubljana and some of the mountains around it - and meeting my new students and colleagues.
