BISL is supported by Orbital Education who provide access to the latest educational thinking and innovative teaching methods from the UK, which enable us to deliver the highest quality education for our students. The school is an accredited member of COBIS (Council of British International Schools), and is regularly inspected and quality assured by BSO (British Schools Overseas) and is a CIS (Council of International Schools) member school.

Excellent teachers are at the heart of an outstanding school and positively influence the success of young minds. Our fully qualified teachers bring a high standard of teaching to our classrooms, and have each been carefully selected for their experience, excellence and dedication, successfully preparing our students for their future successes.

We pride ourselves on being a truly international school, welcoming 40 different nationalities. We forge close relationships between students, parents and teachers, and tailor our curriculum to take full advantage of the opportunities in which our multicultural community can collaborate, learn from each other and develop a truly global perspective.

With such a vibrant international student body, it is no surprise that for many, English is not a first language. We offer extensive English language provision, integrated into the curriculum, for those students who are not English speakers, allowing them to access the curriculum fully. We assess all students to determine the level of support they require in this area and communicate progress with parents closely.

As an inclusive school, our academic excellence makes us incredibly proud. Our students consistently make better progress in core subjects than the global average. Our exam results are strong, 65% of our IGCSE results and 75% of our A Levels are at the top A* and A grades. When they leave us at the end of our Sixth Form, our students continue their studies in some of the most prestigious universities around the world and continue to be accepted into their top choice university.

Our co-curriculum is equally strong, and we encourage our students to try new activities to enhance and broaden their skills and knowledge, be it in sports, drama, choir, robotics, languages, debating, or through the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award. Our House system adds to the overall British school experience, fostering a sense of team spirit and unity, with older students leading their younger peers in a series of House challenges that everyone, including teachers can get actively involved in throughout the academic year.
