Update 3. We've had our first lessons in the New Building!
The students in Early Years enjoyed a fantastic story about Owls from Ms Gillespie, while our Year 2A and 2B students were thrilled to have a reading from Ms Harris about Pirates! - a wonderful way to start off our new library in style. Promoting a love of literacy, reading and learning is going to be at the heart of this new addition to our school. Following on from this, we have asked all Primary teachers to book the library from next week (Monday 6th September), so that all students can use this fabulous resource every week.
Both sessions were amazing today, the students loved the stories from Ms Gillespie and Ms Harris. Seeing the students leave the library with a smile on their face was priceless and it made me very happy indeed. Our current parents will have an opportunity to go on a tour of the building as part of the first Coffee with the Principal on Friday, 3rd September.
Our official Opening Ceremony and presentations of the building will start during block 1 of this academic year.
