Dear reader,

Our Term 1 comes to an end with the completion of another wonderful week at school. Recognising students’ achievements, efforts, performances and contributions has finished the way that the staff have started this Academic Year. From a personal point of view, the group of staff at school have been remarkable. I am very lucky to work with such a dedicated team of committed, caring and professional educators who often go above and beyond to keep improving the quality of education at school.

Our parents have been incredible with their support, time and encouragement for the school as we aim to constantly improve the experiences for our students. As a community, it creates the best learning conditions for the students when everyone is working together and pushing in the same direction. We are very fortunate to have such parents who think of others, are thoughtful and active in helping us in many different ways. I would like to thank the parents on behalf of all staff for their huge contribution into this term.

I would like to give a special mention to the students as they have been magnificent. Everything we do is aimed towards creating the best possible environment, outcomes and support for them. They have significantly lifted the school higher in terms of engagement, happiness and hard work. It is an absolute pleasure to work with the students in this school and to see the way in which they embrace challenges every day and how they want to make the most out of their time at school. We have received many comments on the politeness, manners and kindness from our students, not just in school but in projects, visits and other ventures they participate in. It is fantastic to have such positive ambassadors for the school and more importantly to see them grow and flourish into such respectful, compassionate and talented young people. They deserve a relaxing and restful Christmas break after enjoying a whole host of experiences, events and activities throughout this term. They have been amazing and have given every ounce of effort into making this the successful term that it has been.

Our new ‘Theme Block’ moves on from Performing Arts to Languages in Block 4. During this block, we have seen some very high-quality events and inspiring performances from our students. Thank you to all staff involved.

Finally, an invite to join me on Friday 10th January at 8.00am for ‘Coffee with the Principal’ and see the results of the Parents Survey 2019. This will then be uploaded to the website with an action plan.

Thank you to all parents who filled this out and as I mentioned previously, I will share individual positive comments to our teachers and staff.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
