Ms Miklavec completed her Masters degree in Ethnology and Cultural Anthropology at the Faculty of Arts in Ljubljana, and is a qualified teacher, taking responsibility for Year 1. She is also the phonics lead and KS1 Coordinator. Ms. Miklavec is an advocate of sustainable living and the organiser of BISL's annual Sustainability Day.
Outside of school, Ms Miklavec is a passionate scout leader and organises training courses for young leaders on behalf of the National Scout Organisation of Slovenia. She also enjoys travelling, sports and jazz dance.
