Briefly describe your journey as a teacher.

I have been teaching for 15 years which began in the UK before moving to Asia, then the Middle East, and now Europe!

Why did you decide to specialize in Secondary education?

I enjoy teaching secondary students as it is great to challenge the students and show them the high levels that they can achieve. I love teaching science as it teaches us about the world around us, it can be challenging but we also get to do a lot of experiments which are fun!

What makes BISL such a unique place to work?

The students make BISL a great place to work. They have been very welcoming, and I am enjoying getting to know them all.

How would you describe a typical day at BISL?

Everyday involves teaching great, friendly students, having interesting conversations and challenging one another to think outside the box.

What is the best part of your day at BISL?

Being in the classroom is always the best part of my day. It is exciting to teach new topics and see students enthusiasm for science.

Why is the experience of an international education important for a student?

I think the experience of an international education is important as it gives a more holistic perspective. It allows students to experience different cultures and languages, giving them great opportunities and preparing them for the wider world.
