We are delighted to announce that all staff will get the provision of a new laptop from the British International School of Ljubljana.

This exciting piece of news was announced last week in the update from the Principal.

These high-quality devices have arrived on site, have been set up and now are being rolled out to staff.

I am very excited about this project and very happy that this is the first time in the history of the school that we have been able to purchase this type of new technology for all our staff.
Paul Walton, Principal

Having this new device will enable our staff to:

  • Maintain and enhance the quality of education in class for students.
  • Further develop the online learning (Canvas) courses and provision for students to consolidate learning and stretch ahead to challenge themselves.
  • Use technology in the classroom more effectively to create new learning experiences for our students.
  • Use a high quality device across the school to enable working from various areas around our campus and beyond.

This will have an immediate positive impact for our students and will help us plan ahead further if we need to use online learning at school again.

We have many ideas, training sessions and resources to cover and this is a wonderful opportunity to invest further in the quality of education at our school. Using technology effectively is the priority to support teachers to transform and enhance learning so we can focus on supporting, challenging and encouraging our students.

Knowing when, how and why technology is used is key. Our BISL eSafety page includes a comprehensive overview for staff, students and parents to follow.

We look forward to sharing our experiences with you and for our students to feel the impact and benefit from these new devices.
