The British International School of Ljubljana is proud to be a COBIS Accredited Member (BSO) school.

The Council of British International Schools (COBIS) is the premier global association for international British schools overseas, and has a published set of standards for membership. Following on from our successful BSO Inspection, BISL is proud to have achieved these high standards, which demonstrate a commitment to quality assurance, safeguarding and the welfare and development of our staff, students and school community.

COBIS schools represent over 150,000 students and employ more than 30,000 teachers. Over 250 COBIS member schools can be found in 80 countries across Europe, Asia, Africa, the Middle East and the Americas. COBIS works closely with the UK Department for Education and Department for International Trade.

COBIS membership shows that the British International School of Ljubljana is providing high-quality education with a strong British educational ethos to the community in Slovenia.

I am very proud that our school has been awarded Accredited Member (BSO) status by COBIS. I would like to thank every member of our community for your contributions towards this excellent achievement and a further reflection of the high quality of education that we provide here at the British International School of Ljubljana.
Paul Walton, Principal

COBIS membership enables our school to access some excellent benefits including CPD and professional development for staff, competitions and events for students and the ability to learn from colleagues based in leading British international schools around the world.
