The energy this block continued to intensify as the Humanities team were brimming with enthusiasm for their theme.

They hit the ground running with an interhouse Humanities competition involving all students in KS3. A big congratulations to Emerald house taking it out with their most superior Humanities knowledge.

Additionally this block, Halloween was celebrated on different levels with events around the school hosted by the Sixth Form students as well as the PTA. Sixth Form held a very successful Halloween themed movie night, whereby they had baked treats, pop corn and natural lemonade made for all of the children. They also facilitated the supervision, pick up and handover of the children so that they were always supervised and accounted for. For the first time ever, the Early Years were also able to participate in the event, enjoying seeing their area transformed into a movie theatre! The PTA had transformed the entire school to celebrate Halloween, with detailed decorations all over the building. The students had some wonderful costumes and clever make up to also get into the spirit of the event.

Founder’s Day was commemorated this year, with all the students taking pause to acknowledge the passing of our Founder, Jeremy Hibbins. A tree planting ceremony was held this year in his name, with Year 12 student, Christopher, sharing a delightful memory he had of Jeremy.

Another significant occurrence this block was the appointment of the Secondary student leadership for this year. I congratulate the students below for being awarded the following roles:
