The second block was a whirlwind of activity for the PTA.

Greetings from the PTA!

The second block was a whirlwind of activity for the PTA. We began our block with a Teacher Appreciation Breakfast. It was a lovely opportunity for parents and students to thank the staff and teachers for all that they do in being such a big part of our children’s lives! And then, of course, Halloween came back to BISL in a very big way. There were plenty of spooky and fantastical costumes, decorations, crafts, pumpkins, dances and food enjoyed by all! A big “thank you” to all of the parents, students and staff that helped to make our activities this block possible.

I would like to take this opportunity to encourage everyone (parents and staff) to sign up for ClassList, if you haven’t already. ClassList is the official communication hub for the PTA and the place to connect with other parents and teachers. It is also the best way to find out about the various activities and groups at BISL. If you haven’t received an invitation to join and would like one, please send us an email at PTA@britishschool.si.

We are still in need of Class Parent Representatives for several Secondary classes and for Year 5. If you are interested in helping to fill this vital role please speak with the class teacher or email us at PTA@britishschool.si.

As Block 2 comes to a close, it is hard to believe that the winter holiday season is just around the corner. The students have been busy with their lessons and soon they (and maybe a few parents, myself included) will start dreaming of snow, Christmas markets, Father Christmas and all of the wonder and joy that the season brings. The PTA is excited to celebrate this season with you. Please mark 05 December 2019 on your calendar for the BISL Christmas Market. Details regarding time, activities and volunteer opportunities will be announced on ClassList very soon!

I wish a happy and restful break to all and look forward to seeing everyone back for Block 3!
