We are pleased to invite you to our upcoming parent information session, Teaching and the British Curriculum.

Dear Parents,

We are pleased to invite you to our upcoming parent information session, Teaching and the British Curriculum, taking place on Thursday, 10 September at 15:00 in Dragon Hall.

The session will provide an insight into how teaching and learning at BISL are shaped by the British Curriculum, from the early years of Primary through to IGCSEs and A Levels. We will explore what the curriculum means in practice and how it supports our students as they develop academically, socially and personally.

During the session, we will cover:

  • What is the British Curriculum?
  • Primary: Building strong foundations
  • Secondary: Depth, challenge and choice
  • Why feedback matters
  • Adaptive Teaching: Meeting the needs of every learner
  • Oracy: Developing confident speakers and communicators
  • IGCSEs and A Levels: Preparing students for their next steps

This will be a great opportunity to learn more about what happens in our classrooms, understand the approaches our teachers use every day, and see how our curriculum supports students throughout their BISL journey.
