Join us for a run at Ljubljana Marathon
Dear Parents,
The Ljubljana Marathon is almost here! Please find below all the details to help ensure this Saturday’s event runs as smoothly as possible (Saturday, Oct 18).
This year, we will have a slightly different organization compared to last year. There will be two meeting points:
• Start Meeting Point – where children gather before the race begins (Park Slovenske reformacije, next to Figovec restaurant. See attached photo for exact location).
• Finish Meeting Point – where children will wait after finishing the race to be collected by their parents (next to the finish line).
Both locations will be clearly marked with a large BISL flag for easy identification.
Listed below are the designated meeting times for each age group. Please arrive at the Start Meeting Point at your assigned time, as students will be escorted promptly to the starting line. Students will also receive their running bibs at the Start Meeting Point.
Later this week, we will distribute BISL T-shirts to all registered runners. Kindly ensure that your child wears their BISL T-shirt to the marathon. In case of cold weather, they can wear it over their jumper or sweater.
After the race, parents should collect their children from the Finish Meeting Point, where our staff members will be waiting at the BISL flag with students.
Arrival times at the Start Meeting Point:
• Year of birth 2020 & 2019 – 10:50
• Year of birth 2018 – 11:00
• Year of birth 2017 – 11:30
• Year of birth 2016 – 11:40

• Year of birth 2011 and older – 13:45
(Please note that BISL is not responsible for the organization or scheduling of each run. We will follow the official times provided by the event organizers.)
We encourage everyone to come along and cheer for our students – it promises to be a fantastic community event!
If you have any questions regarding this Saturday’s marathon, please don’t hesitate to contact our Admissions team.
Kind regards,
The BISL Team
