With around 14 000 people entering the 25th Ljubljana Marathon and beautiful sunny autumn weather, we knew it would be a fantastic weekend ahead.

Mr Damjan, Mrs Železinger, Mr Walton, Miss Maddison and Mr Griffin supporting our runners at our school station.

As a school, we believe taking part in such events helps promote a healthy lifestyle for our students alongside the hard work they put in each day with their academic studies. With great support from our school station, we cheered all participants on during a fantastic event which is one of the highlights of our school events calendar.

We were delighted to welcome the highest ever number of participants from the British International School of Ljubljana, with over 60 students taking part in races among their age groups, all the way from Nursery to Year 12, as well as a large group of students and staff running in the 5km Fun Run on Saturday.

There were also a few serious BISL athletes who completed the 21km Half-Marathon on Sunday too!

Congratulations to all for participating – we will for sure be there again next year!

We really appreciate all the parents and families who came along to support the students and staff during the weekend - the refreshments and face paints were a hit.
